We’re pleased to announce that tv star and jungle queen, Vicky Pattison is now a FoodCycle ambassador.
Television and media star, Vicky was first introduced to FoodCycle through the Christmas Meal Appeal with our corporate partner Just Eat. Having visited a Project as part of the campaign and meeting some of our guests Vicky was keen to do more. She has since helped raise awareness of our work and volunteered at the FoodCycle Walker Project which is close to where she grew up.
After volunteering at FoodCycle Walker in August 2023 Vicky said “I was super excited to spend the day at FoodCycle Walker to help out with the weekly community meal. I grew up literally round the corner from here and I’m very proud of where I’m from. I feel like now, more so than ever, its super important that those that can are helping others. Today has been incredible, to see the work that is going on in my region. It’s inspirational and I’m very proud to be involved.”
As a FoodCycle Ambassador, Vicky will support FoodCycle by helping to raise awareness, speak about out work and attend Projects when she can.
Vicky rose to fame through her appearance on Geordie Shore and taking part in Celebrity Masterchef and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. She is also a published author, mental health advocate, has her own podcast and co-hosts drive time on Heart North East with Adam Lawrence.
On becoming a FoodCycle Ambassador she says, “FoodCycle is absolutely incredible, and I feel very proud to be an ambassador and support their work. I feel like now, more so than ever it’s important that anyone who can, is supporting their community, whether that’s raising awareness or getting stuck in and volunteering. You should really get down there – the volunteers whip up amazing food – I came second on Celebrity MasterChef and I couldn’t do half the stuff they do in a FoodCycle kitchen!”
