Wow, what a start to 2016: as well as our plans for two new projects with Outward, we are so happy to announce that we’re opening another five Hubs.
Allow us to introduce you to…
FoodCycle Merton
Based in the New Horizon Centre in south-west London, FoodCycle Merton is run in partnership with Commonside Community Development Trust. From zumba and aerobics to IT classes and craft clubs, the community centre will soon be cooking healthy three-course meals to people from the local community.
FoodCycle Marylebone
In partnership with West London Synagogue, FoodCycle Marylebone will be an interfaith project, bringing together people of different faiths to cook and eat together.
FoodCycle Exeter
The newest member of the FoodCycle family down in the south-west, FoodCycle Exeter is on the look-out for local people who are passionate about fighting waste and poverty to join their volunteering team.
FoodCycle Peterborough
We are working with Cross Keys Homes who will be running the new FoodCycle Peterborough. This project will have a strong focus on supporting volunteers to learn new skills and grow in confidence.
FoodCycle Lewisham
The third of our new London Hubs is FoodCycle Lewisham, run jointly with Rushey Green Time Bank. The Hub will be cook and serve on Saturdays in the Calabash Centre and all are welcome!
