Just Eat return with their Winter Meal Appeal, supporting FoodCycle and Social Bite.
FoodCycle’s long-term corporate partner, Just Eat aims to raise enough money to provide 250,000 hot meals, with their annual campaign, which will be dividing equally between the two charities. They are kick-starting the campaign with a £250,000 donation and using their network as a force for good, drawing on its employees and delivery couriers to volunteer and fundraise too. They are also encouraging customers to make a donation when ordering through their app from 14th November 2022 – 3rd January 2023.
As part of the campaign TV stars, Vicky Pattison and Pete Wicks went along to FoodCycle Peckham to give the volunteers a hand in the kitchen, as well as meeting those that benefit from FoodCycle’s weekly community meals.
Vicky Pattison, Winter Meal Appeal Ambassador commented: “It was an honour to spend time working with the incredible FoodCycle volunteers and experience first hand the difference a hot meal and company can make to vulnerable people in our communities.”
All donations will be split 50:50 between the Social Bite Fund, a charity registered in Scotland with charity number SC045232 and FoodCycle, a charity registered in England and Wales with charity number 1134423.
