FoodCycle Staff Team

Jody joined FoodCycle at the start of May 2020, and his role involves sourcing, arranging collection and redistribution of surplus food to those in need. Having previously worked at 3 big supermarket chains in a management role, he has seen first-hand the levels of food waste. In his spare time he enjoys nothing more than riding his motorcycle into the north of Wales and taking in the scenic routes.

Anna joined FoodCycle in 2024 after 5 years working in the charity sector and leading different projects. Anna has grown a passion for connecting communities and combating loneliness through her voluntary work leading support groups at her local church. Anna loves to try new recipes, and she is currently a little obsessed with making sourdough bread which she and her husband eat very quickly. When she is not at work, she would ideally be in a coffee shop somewhere eating pastries and painting.

Holly joined FoodCycle in August 2023 as Regional Manager for the East of England. She has come from a background of Volunteer Management, working in the Charity and Heritage sector. Whilst studying History at UEA, Holly joined the Norwich FoodCycle Project as a Cooking Project Leader and as a result was inspired her to dedicate her working life to supporting voluntary opportunities that bring local communities together. Aside from being a big foodie and a History nerd, Holly loves to perform on stage with her amateur dramatics group.

Pablo joined Foodcycle in October 2023 as Regional Manager for the West Midlands. After studying History and Politics at the University of Liverpool he volunteered at FareShare Birmingham where his interest in tackling surplus food waste began. After some working experience at Citizens Advice Wirral, he started working as a Community Coordinator at FareShare in the Northwest and later Birmingham and the West Midlands. This first-hand experience of seeing the benefits surplus food can have to local communities has inspired him to continue down this career path. In his spare time Pablo enjoys travelling and exploring new places through cuisine. He also enjoys playing a variety of sports with friends including tennis, squash, and korfball (google it!), and of course cheering on Aston Villa.

Jemma joined FoodCycle in March 2024 as the South West and Wales Regional Manager. She began her career in social housing, where she witnessed firsthand the impact of food poverty and social isolation. Her passion for reducing social inequalities led her to pursue further education in Public Policy. In her spare time, Jemma enjoys reading (a lot!), traveling, and exploring different cuisines.

Nisa joined FoodCycle in July 2021 as a Project Support Officer helping with marketing activities for Peterborough and now supports Projects across the East of England. In 2013, she graduated in Marketing with Business and gained experience over the years working for various organisations. She believes in spreading “pockets of peace and pockets of kindness”. Her passion for people and giving back to the community has brought her to this role! She loves to keep fit and attends Pilates and dance classes.

Clover joined the FoodCycle team in July 2023 after 5 years as a cooking volunteer/Project Leader In Exeter.

In her spare time, she enjoys walking, kayaking, crafting and of course, cooking.

Teal has just finished her degree in International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response and Spanish, which included a year abroad  working as a Volunteer Coordinator for a Peruvian NGO and completing an English-teaching internship in Buenos Aires. She’s passionate about community-led projects that support vulnerable people, and in the future hopes to work in Latin America to support asylum seekers and refugees. In her spare time, Teal loves travelling, as well as cooking, baking, reading, and creative writing.

I have worked in commercial hospitality for 30 years managing pubs and restaurants. My three children are now grown up so I decided to return to university to do a degree in Hospitality Management to gain more of an academic understanding. The modules include sustainability, sociology, diversity and social inclusion which gave me a different perspective on what hospitality encompasses.  I am currently in the second year of the three year course. The opportunity for the position of Project Support Officer came through my university work experience portal and I jumped at the chance to be involved in such a worthwhile cause and to gain an insight into how a charitable organisation operates. I am amazed and impressed at the dedication of the volunteers and the fabulous meals they are able to produce for the wonderful guests at each project. I am proud to be part of the great work we do at FoodCycle and I hope to contribute to it’s growth and success. In between writing essays and reading academic literature I love to cook for family and friends.
