Preheat your oven to 180°C fan/200°C non fan/gas mark 4.
Slice the broccoli into finger long sticks (bit thicker than match sticks).
Toss broccoli stems and garlic with olive oil. Season lightly with salt and pepper and place in a large tray. Roast in oven for about 30 minutes or until broccoli stems are soft.
Toss warm broccoli with lemon zest and juice and add in toasted pumpkin seeds. Taste and season with salt and pepper if necessary.
