Ben Tish Cookery Class

To coincide with his new project: Sicilia At Home  FoodCycle ambassador, Ben Tish will be hosting a live Sicilian-inspired cookery class with all ticket sales being donated to FoodCycle.

The class will take place via zoom at 11am on Saturday 5th December.

Ben comments “The event will focus on Sicilian winter comfort food and will be prepared and cooked in real time and then enjoyed, virtually at the table, over lunch. It will be an ideal opportunity to get together, perhaps with those you may not be able to share a table with in person right now, to enjoy a different cooking and dining experience.”

The class will last around 1 hour 20 minutes for the cooking segment and then, afterwards we will all sit down to eat and chat.

A full list of ingredients will be sent a few days before the event and the zoom invite will go out on the morning of the 5th.

The class costs just £25 with ALL proceeds coming to FoodCycle. Please use the form below to book your place.

The Menu:

  • Fried aubergines, ricotta and mint salmoriglio
  • Pork, pecorino, lemon and sage polpetto, fried breadcrumbs and rigatoni  (a vegetarian option will be announced shortly)
  • Warm raddicio agri-dolce

Sicilia At Home launches in winter 2020 and will include both live and pre-recorded online cookery classes.  It will focus on accessible, cook at home dishes inspired by his love of the food of the Mediterranean. Ben wants the classes to feel intimate and sociable, with lots of good conversations, a few drinks, and a chance to (virtually) get together at our tables to enjoy the occasion at the end. Over the coming months Sicily will be the focus as he leads up to the launch of his latest cook book SICILIA.
