Hello! We are FoodCycle Pompey. We deliver tasty three-course hot meals from the John Pound Centre in Old Portsmouth every Tuesday.
We also bring our delicious dinners to King’s Church in Somerstown every Thursday evening from 6pm so please come along and make our Thursday nights just as special!
We are looking to YOU to help us with:
The collection of food from our donors based around the city
Preparing and cooking the food into a delicious meal
Serving the hot meal and making beneficiaries feel welcome
Helping to spread the word about the great things FoodCycle does in the community
Helping us to raise funds so that FoodCycle Pompey can go on forever!
To volunteer, please register on My FoodCycle and sign up to one of our events. You will need to take the food hygiene quiz before you can join the cooking team and you can find on your My FoodCycle page.
We’re now cooking our delicious hot meals every Tuesday at the John Pounds Centre café, Queen Street, Old Portsmouth and every Thursday at the King’s Church, Somers Road, Somerstown. We serve a tasty 3-course hot meal made from surplus food, and cooked by a friendly team of volunteers.
If you’d like to come along to this, or would like to help out, please feel free to drop us an email on [email protected] or call us on 02392 892 010. We will also be running fundraising events throughout the year, so keep an eye on Twitter and Facebook for the next exciting event!
